“LUXURIOUSLY SATISFYING, LIKE HOT CHOCOLATE ON A WINTER’S DAY” (IRISH TIMES)
“So consistently beautiful it could be displayed in a shop window ….” (TOP Magazine)
Emmett Tinley was the lead singer of the Irish indieband The Prayer Boat, that signed with Atlantic in the 90s and released two critically acclaimed albums, Oceanic Feeling and Polichinelle. After The Prayer Boat disbanded, Emmett moved to Holland where he released his first solo album Attic Faith and follow up album Emmett Tinley (2012). After a seven year hiatus, Emmett Tinley will return with new material in 2019.
Emmett built a name for himself in Europa, especially in Holland and Belgium with shows in Paradiso Amsterdam, Eurosonic, Ancienne Belgique Brussels, Indiestad and Naked Song festivals. His 2 Meter Sessie was very well received in The Netherlands, and the track Takes A Long Time To Heal was the soundtrack of a major Dutch movie.
“Up there with Rufus Wainwright or Jeff Buckley. Truly sublime.” (Irish Times)
“….one of the most stunningly beautiful albums you’re likely to hear…” Hotpress
“When the hits of today have faded, The Prayer Boat will still sound fresh and relevant… This gorgeous set of intimate, meticulously crafted pop tunes was among the best albums to come across our desk this year.” (Billboard Magazine)
