Gracing a fender strat guitar in one hand and electric violin in the other, Sands has a unique ability to blend Jazz/Funk/Latin music with a Celtic twist, backed by an eclectic five piece fusion band. Her first record ‘Join Me At The Table’ in 2016 was met with critical acclaim ‘really beautiful sounds’ – RTE Radio 1, touring it around Ireland, Europe and NYC, both as a solo artist and violinist with Jack L, Luka Bloom, and other highly acclaimed artists. Having just played her biggest show to date in July, Liverpool’s Feis alongside Irish legends Imelda May and Shane McGowan to 15,000 people, Sands is set to play headline shows this autumn 2018 around Ireland and Europe, with her new record made in her basement in Cork City.
