MMODE are an Irish music duo based in Belfast consisting of siblings Lucy and Thomas Gaffney. The duo exchange beguiling vocals and deeply insightful lyrics over the melancholy of classic brooding art rock, and the bouncy, bohemian haze of psychedelia.

Their debut single ‘Waiting In The Desert’ was penned in the pair’s Liverpool apartment at sunset, it was originally recorded with Mark Rankin (Queens Of The Stone Age, Bombay Bicycle Club, Adele). Follow up ‘Gustav’ picks up the duo’s journey as they headed to Belfast. ‘MMODE’ charts Lucy and Thomas’ journey, it’s a refreshing listen – one that’s hard to pin down and never boring, but also savvily weaves big pop hooks into its layers of intrigue.
