Avant Gardai burst on the Dublin music scene in 1988 straddling the crap with ponytail and crap without ponytail era. 20 years later they remain committed to their irreverent and idiosyncratic view of all things Irish- particularly Irish rock. Musical influences straddle Wedding Present, Pixies and Rolf Harris.
