Conor is a 21 year old up and coming independent singer/songwriter from Dublin that is about to take the Irish music scene by storm.
Conor’s first EP ‘For When I’m Not Around’ was released on the 21st of August. The EP comprises of 7 songs including his recently released single ‘Ecstasy Fantasy’ which has been highly critiqued by outlets such as Hotpress Magazine, Nailler9 and Golden Plec.
“The title was inspired by my desire and goal to provoke thought through my music and create songs that can outlast myself. I see this debut E.P as a testament to the persistence you need to have if you want to create something in the music industry. The last three years have been tough trying to find the right producer with the right style that suited what I wanted to create. After many failed encounters, I ended up getting into music production and developed the tracks myself, giving me the freedom I always wanted.
Since this E.P consists of songs from my development as an artist, there are tracks that take from different genres.. When writing the lyrics for these songs and for any music I write I like to delve into emotions that mean something to me and to try to stay away from love or heartbreak as much as I can. It can be quite daunting writing openly about your feelings as a young man in modern society, but hey, someone’s gotta do it ”

In less than a year since her debut, Irish indietronic artist Jackie Beverly has been steadily carving a space for herself in the Irish music scene, gaining herself recognition for her addictive 80’s infused pop music and the rightful accolade of one to keep an eye on.
Lebanon Hanover, an ice cold reply to the alienated world coming from two warm beating hearts, announce their long awaited Irish debut will be in Whelan’s on Saturday 9th October 2021.
Sophie Doyle Ryder is a 18 Y/O Singer-Song writer from Malahide. The Dublin born artist has drawn comparisons to Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Anne Marie.
After the success of her first two singles, she is so excited to release her latest single Too Much. Too Much is a heart-felt empowering song about a fresh breakup, she sings as if she were speaking to him.
“I wrote the song about a relationship that was super one-sided. I felt like it was always me giving and always him taking.”.
Sophie hopes that this song can help people explore their feelings of heartbreak and healing. The confusion and conflict of wanting to save a relationship but eventually feeling strong enough to stand up for themselves.
Sophie loves artists such as Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys, Rihanna and Lady Gaga. The authenticity of these artists is what inspires Sophie to take her personal experience and turn it into relatable music. In a short 11 months Sophie has grown into her own style of music and has found her unique sound. 2019 saw Sophie release her debut track Mood. She has been dubbed as ‘One To Watch’ by a lot of music media and promoters.
Sophie’s song writing is always personal, always about a real situation whether it’s her own personal story or a friends’. She finds that song writing is a form of therapy. She’s been writing ever since she was 10.
Sophie is very excited for her first headline show with MCD in Whelan’s (Upstairs) on 6th March 2021. It will feature some unreleased music and some epic covers with a world class band.

BOY PABLO
Sat, 20/03/2021
>> LIVE AT OPIUM >>
While his career took off in 2017 with the viral, outsider-pop anthem “Everytime,” Boy Pablo’s Nicolas Muñoz has since found himself more connected to his art than ever. While Boy Pablo initially started out as a project just for fun, Muñoz, now 21, has since honed a cohesive, creative vision, becoming a fully-fledged force to be reckoned with in the indie-pop space. His debut LP “Wachito Rico” (October 23) is a testament to his development as both a songwriter and a studio recording artist. Throughout the LP, Muñoz will take listeners through the highs and lows of his alter-ego’s love story, which will be mirrored in an elevated calibre of music videos that go beyond the calling-card shore visual of “Everytime.”
Roadblocks aside, a through line of the album is Wachito Rico’s happy-go-lucky attitude that keeps him grounded even when times are tough. But despite Wachito Rico’s presence as a character, the album comes from a personal place for Muñoz, as the songs are derived from the joy and pain he’s experienced throughout his young life. But even the heavier moments―like contemplating a breakup―are overshadowed bya lighter, Carpe Diem-esque tone.
We’re delighted to have Inni K back in Whelan’s on Thur 1st Sept and although we’re still social distancing we’re going try to make it as comfortable as possible. The show will be all seated and limited to 88 people. Tickets are on sale on now from Whelanslive.com.
Named by RTÉ.ie as “one of ten fierce women defining Irish culture”, Dublin-based singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Inni-K (Eithne Ní Chatháin) has received consistent praise for her fresh style of indie-folk since the 2015 release of her acclaimed album ‘The King has Two Horse’s Ears’.
Inni-K’s second album ‘The Hare & the Line’ was released 1 March 2019 to great critical acclaim. She sold out the Irish Arts Centre, New York; was an Official Showcase performer at Folk Alliance International music conference in Montréal as part of her U.S. and Canada tour dates; and has toured extensively throughout Ireland with dates also in continental Europe & the UK since the release of the album. She was nominated for RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards in 2019, in the Best Traditional Track category for ‘Póirste Béil’ off ‘The Hare & the Line’.
Inni-K’s music draws on her extensive background in folk and traditional Irish music, even as she ventures into new musical territories. Her music combines ethereal vocals with deft musicianship, evocative lyrics (bilingual at times), and a unique approach to song-writing. Having shared stages with various renowned musicians including Malian kora master Toumani Diabaté, drummer Jeff Ballard, Wallis Bird, Glen Hansard, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Lisa Hannigan, and many more, Inni-K is becoming a well-established presence in Irish music.
“This year’s The Hare & the Line reconfirms her status as one of Ireland’s most exciting artists” The Irish Times 06.07.19
“Blending Irish trad with modern folk, the singer delivers 10 exquisite tunes (some in Irish), with her ethereal vocals as spellbinding as ever…entirely unique” Hotpress
“enthralling and menacing” The Irish Times
“A superb blend of rootsy folk, trad and jazz sounds tied together by the artist’s immaculate vocals” – Nialler9
“This record is worth enjoying and appreciating as an excellent reflection of modern Irish music from one of Ireland’s most exciting young musicians” – Folk Radio UK
