_ Main Venue _ Having spent the summer playing the international festival circuit and most recently touring Germany with July Talk, Belfast duo exmagician have just announced a new wave of Irish Tour Dates in support of their debut album ‘Scan The Blue’. Following a tour of the UK in January, the band will do a whistle-stop tour of Ireland in February stopping in Dublin, Limerick, Galway & Cork. ‘Scan The Blue’ was released earlier this year on Bella Union Records (home to Father John Misty, Fleet Foxes & John Grant amongst others). The debut album has been steadily building momentum and garnering critical praise both at home and abroad. exmagician have enjoyed radio support from Radio 1, 6music and Absolute and their appearance at this year’s Great Escape festival won plaudits from The Guardian. Previously recording under the moniker Cashier No.9, the songwriting partnership of Danny Todd and James Smith move into new sonic realms with their latest incarnation exmagician. ‘Scan The Blue’ is propelled by a love of adventurous, psychedelic sounds. “It’s like early Beefheart meets Add N To X,” says Danny – a measure of just how broad the duo’s influences are. “David [Holmes] lent me a Korg MS-20 and then I bought one myself. That synth shaped a lot of the record.” Self-written and produced with the help of Rocky O’Reilly (And So I Watch You From Afar, General Fiasco, Mojo Fury), Danny and James’s decision to take the production reins came from their reverential response to songcraft. Each track carefully crafted over time and only tweaked when they knew they were ready to be heard. exmagican IRISH TOUR DATES – FEBRUARY 2017 FEBRUARY 2017 Thur Feb 2nd Whelan’s, Dublin Fri Feb 3rd Dolan’s, Limerick Sat Feb 4th The Loft, Galway Sun Feb 5th Cypress Avenue, CorkWALDORF & CANNON

The grunge outfit from County Dublin have packed an awful lot of noise into their two-minute single Bullet Head and it is just glorious.” ::JOE.IE:: “Bullet Head spends all of 123 seconds blasting your skull with a bludgeoning grunge rock riff that’ll make you want to hit repeat.” ::NIALLER9:: “Amphetamined, take no prisoners rock with pop hooks that Brian Wilson would be proud of,” is how Hot Press previously described Steven and his bandmates, and we’re sticking to it. ::HOTPRESS:: “The fabulous Fangclub are a band who are bringing back guitar-laden sounds, rebelling against the electro blips and making some great tunes besides.” ::IRISHMIRROR:: “No-nonsense poppy hooks over punishing riffs……The time is now to bare your teeth and join the club.” ::HOTPRESS:: “Fangclub win you over with their sheer enthusiasm and infectious melodies…… That initial ripple Fangclub have caused in the pond is set to become a tsunami. ::GOLDEN PLEC:: “This is a band you want to see in a small venue that’s been packed up to the rafters, their music echoing and pouring out into the streets. Their music is about a “moment”, mainly, that beautiful and wonderful moment where you feel like the world outside of the venue has ceased to exist.” ::DINGUS NYC:: “Sometimes I just want to rock out to something charged. Fangclub have provided me with just that at just the right time” ::7BILLIONPEOPLE:: “Stripped back and very together, echoing early Foo Fighters or Greenday……a great sign of things to come from these!” ::RADIO NOVA::TICKETS
