Little Gem Records Present: Nimoy by GODHATESDISCO
Following the success of their first release ‘Sick At Heart’ (parts 1-3), Nimoy is the first release from the forthcoming debut album by GODHATESDISCO. Employing twin bass guitars and a table full of electronics, including samplers, drum machines and custom made noise makers, the duo make unknown wave music to defy and satisfy all musical palates. Sampling elements of Japanese artist Isao Hashimoto’s ‘A Time-Lapse of Every Nuclear Explosion since 1945’, alongside discussions from Leonard Nimoy’s popular science based television program ‘In Search of..’, GODHATESDISCO create a buoyant and driving sonic exploration that demands to be played on repeat. Nimoy will be available on CD, Cassette & special edition little gem player with the rest of the EP consisting of the opus B side ‘Uniformitarian Naturalism’. Little Gem Players are a release specific high quality audio player which require no downloads or computer connections, only a set of headphones or a stereo. ”Incorporating Steve Reich-esque use of found sound (a clip of Mario Savio’s affecting 1964 “Bodies upon the gears” speech) and a growling backdrop of claustrophobic, repressive textures, ‘Sick at Heart’ is an unforgiving piece of post-minimalism that challenges and ultimately rewards the listener. Uncompromising and unique, God Hates Disco have carved out a definite tonal edge in ‘Sick At Heart’ that captures upheaval and frustration sonically, through a harsh collage of experimentalism and alternative-rock leanings.” The Last Mixed Tape on ‘Sick at Heart’ ////////LANDLESS
http://landless.bandcamp.com Landless are Ruth Clinton, Meabh Meir, Sinead Lynch and Lily Power. They sing unaccompanied traditional songs from Ireland, Scotland, England and America in close four part harmony. Their repertoire features traditional songs both well-know and unusual, as well as shape-note hymns, song of emigration and more recent folk songs. Landless have performed at singing sessions and folk clubs in Ireland and beyond, and supported contemporary acts such as Alasdair Roberts, Richard Dawson, Nathan Salsburg and Lisa O’Neill.TICKETS

Having established himself as one of the leading players in the electronic music scene, he has pushed his boundaries and graduated onto a fully formed live project. This show is sure to be really special and a chance to see Jam City in a unique setting that probably won’t ever happen again! JAM CITY: Since 2010, Jack Latham has released forward thinking, sound system-ready music under the alias Jam City. After a string of EPs, his highly influential debut album Classical Curves was released via Night Slugs to critical acclaim in 2012, and was quickly followed by Club Constructions Vol 6. In addition to this, his work on Kelela’s seminal breakout mixtape Cut 4 Me showcased a subtle, spacious and deftly emotional side to his writing and production. With the lead single Unhappy, Jam weds this approach to songwriting to the industrial drums, howling synthesiser leads and 21st century anxiety that have since become his trademark. It is the first single to be taken from his upcoming sophomore album, to be released on Night Slugs in early 2015. In October 2014 Jam City performed his debut live set at Krakow’s esteemed Unsound Festival, marrying the textures and frequencies of his long DJ career with brand-new album material that moved towards a psychedelic, gothic, funk music that is as chaotic as it is sincere.TICKETS

Meath singer songwriter Niamh Crowther At just 18 years old, Niamh has had more acclaim and praise than any of her peers. In 2013 she beat off 15,000 other young people to claim the Irish Youth Music Awards. The accompanying demo “bullets” was released to radio and received great coverage including “single of the week” on 4fm. A few weeks after that, Hotpress magazine singled her out as one to watch. This coverage earned prestigious support slots with PictureHouse, Blink and appearances at Le Cheile in her native Meath. Having dedicating most of 2014 to the successful completion of her Leaving Certificate, Niamh took some time out to accompany Richie Sambora in the Olympia theatre in Dublin at the recommendation of a Dublin radio station. Cocoon is full of the compact three-piece bombast that has made Ash one of the country’s best-loved bands. “It’s Ash at their frenetic best: a wall of guitars and a shot of adrenaline with a sweet melodic chaser”, says Rick McMurray . “One of the earliest songs written for the forthcoming album, you can hear how excited the three of us are to be back in the same room. Having this much fun crammed into two and a half minutes is probably illegal.” Commenting on the new album – “After a wait of 8 years, and a long string of singles, we’ve gone on to do what we said we would never do again: we’ve only gone and recorded a brand new album!” “We set out to capture the live essence of Ash, the closest sonic predecessor would be 2004’s ‘Meltdown’, with the songwriting of the ‘Free All Angels’ singles. . We’ve stripped away the electronic overtones of the A-Z series and made a streamlined blazing guitar record.” “On every song you can hear what makes this band tick, our beating (atomic) heart. It’s a visceral expression of what has driven us since 1992. Passion, melody and Ash.”TICKETS – SOLD OUT
