STUART WILDE

Live from the Window at Whelan’s

STUART WILDE

– PLAY THE FRONT BAR –

7pm – FREE ENTRY

Stuart Wilde’s music is unique. Dark, heartfelt and poetic, his songs range from thunderous to tender… Populated by stories of lost love, shadow worlds, dirty dishes, the sea and crows.

Stuart’s shows are thought provoking and engaging. He plays guitar & foot percussion to accompany his singing, making a big sound, which could be described as Alternative Irish Blues.

Stuart grew up in Ireland, near the estuary of the river Boyne in Co. Meath, and now lives in Cork.

2011 saw the release of Stuart Wilde’s debut Album, “The Black Crow”  followed by gigs in Ireland, Germany and the UK.  “The Black Crow”  was featured at no. 16 in 2UIBestow’s Top 20 Albums of 2011

Stuart is currently working on a second album, due for release sometime 2013.

Recording is almost complete…

The finale show….

RAGLANS

Out of action the last while because they have been busy in studio writing new material and recording for their next release, Raglans came back to live duty with a support slot for The Courteeners on Thursday night. This morning they join the lineup to help raise funds for Down Syndrome Ireland. They’ve got new songs and they can’t wait to get on stage and play them for you.

SHADOWPLAY

Shadowplay are the winners of the prestigious Hotpress Lift Off competition in 2012. Having secured a major international multi-album deal, the band have spent much of late 2012 writing new material and preparing for their much anticipated launch later this year. A rare sighting on the current gig circuit, we are delighted to have them join us for our finale gig. Andrew Dempsey, the bands lead singer, was clear on the bands reasons for being so keen to play. “Goldenplec have been such great supporters of us from the very early days of the band, just as they are to so many young Irish bands every day, we were happy to do whatever we could to be part of Coast to Coast”

ELAINE MAI

This Galway girl have moved up to Dublin and we expect her to make some waves. She is currently finishing off writing her new EP which will be coming out in the next few months. We’ve been told there will be some new material for us to enjoy at our gig, so head on down for a sneak peak at the next batch of Elaine Mai material.

THE DIRTY 9s

The soft spoken, gently and unassumingly working their way into your eardrums. Off recording their new album, currently putting the final touches on it in Dublin with Karl Odlum (Ham Sandwich, Fight Like Apes). The album is expected in the fall and they promise some big announcements and changes soon.

The new material is quite different to their previous stuff and you’ll be hearing the new material exclusively first at Coast to Coast: Tea and Toast on March 30th.
