Showcasing the best new talent in Ireland. ——— Young Earth are an alt-pop group formed in Late 2015. In that short time together, they have found their footing in the music scene of Dublin in venues such as Workman’s Club, Sin E and Whelan’s, each gig bringing them tighter than before with a sense of truly enjoying the sound theycreate. Combining the sunny atmosphere of the Beach Boys with modern rock acts like Arctic Monkeys and Vampire Weekend, their vocal harmonies, shimmering guitars and sing-along choruses will leave a lasting impression in your ears. “Tallaght slo-mo indie-pop newcomers Young Earth are a band well capable to knocking out killer harmonies and melodies” – Jim Carroll, Irish Times (On the Record) https://www.facebook.com/Youngearthmusic/    ——— Kicking Bird are a four piece band hailing from Dublin made up of male and female lead singers/guitarists, bass player and drummer, also bringing alluring rhythms to their songs with additional instruments from the harmonica, ukulele, banjo, glockenspiel and cajon which can only give you a small insight into how musically talented they are. Kicking Bird have played festivals and music venues all across Ireland, including Electric Picnic, Knockanstockan, Canalaphonic, Co-Hear, Roddy Bolands, Whelans, Monroe’s, The Sugar Club,The Grand Social and Crane Lane Theatre, to name a small few. “The Dublin alt country quartet’s self-titled EP opens its account strongly with the jaw-droppingly good ‘Nowhere To Die’. A bit spaghetti western, a bit mid-period Fleetwood Mac, the song has a barn-storming vocal and firmly states that they are songwriters with oodles of potential. The world-beating ‘Nowhere To Die’ makes the release more than worth the money.” – Edwin McFee, Hotpress https://www.facebook.com/KickingBirdMusic/?fref=ts   Admission is €5 or free when you comment “Maggie It’s Alright” on the event page HERE!
