WOB! will play a Headline show – ‘SAMBASS Party’ at Whelan’s Upstairs, on Saturday 01.10.2016, at 8pm.
Come and see why WOB! are becoming notorious for their high-energy shows, you will leave lighthearted!

Ireland’s only live drum and bass band went to explore Latin American music, and created an eclectic mix of Brazilian samba, boss nova, and drum’n’bass, called SAMBASS. While this is a regional subgenre of drum and bass music mostly native to Brazil, it will sure place your mind in a chill out zone while your body goes wild, no matter where you are.

Just after a busy festival season, Dublin live drum & bass duo are back as Winners of ‘The Best Band Name of Electric Picnic 2016’ Award by The Irish Times.

Determined to change the Dance scene in Ireland, WOB! are making waves in 2016. Their debut EP ‘MOVE!’, was released on 14th of May to widespread critical acclaim. The project was crafted through a hybrid approach to music production, experimentally combining the live performance of a band with the techniques of electronic music producers.

– an upbeat delight (Nialler9)
– “WOB!” refers to the wobbly bassline that is a feature of this Dublin’ duo’s sound. (Hotpress)
– an essential release (State.ie)
