Following on from the critically acclaimed albums ‘The Finish Line’ & ‘Whispers & Silent Screams’, Darragh Cullen is delighted to showcase his new solo project The New 52 in Whelans. After recording a new album with legendary producer Boo Hewerdine (Eddi Reader, Chris Difford, The Bible, Sia), Darragh formed this group to bring the songs to life with some of the finest talents in the Irish music scene. Before forming The New 52, Darragh toured extensively as a solo artist, sharing the stage with acts such as Aslan, Fiach, Ham Sandwich, Little Green Cars & We Cut Corners, and garnering praise from the likes of Jackie Hayden (“Male Solo Artist Of The Year”), Liam Finn (“You write a bloody good song”) Goldenplec (“Cullen’s musical prowess really shines through”) & 2UIBestow (“…one of the countries most promising song writers”), among others.
