Dublin natives The Mighty Stef return to Whelans for thier biggest home-town show to date. Having spent early 2013 making thier 4th album with accliamed US producer Alain Johannes [Queens Of The Stoneage, Arctic Monkeys, Mark Lanegan, Them Crooked Vultures] the band are back with a more intense live experience than ever before. Long hailed as one of Irelands most highly regarded underground songwriters Stefan Murphy, enlisting the songwriting assistance of bandmates Gary Lonergan and Brian Farrell has, for the new record trodden off in a slightly more menacing sonic direction. Since the release of 2010’s ‘TMS and The Baptists’ the band have toured pretty intensively up until mid-2012 when they stopped to focus on finishing writing the new album. Whelans will be the Dublin date of thier Irish tour and its a night not to be missed.
