The Led Farmers (aka LED) are a 4 piece folk fusion act. The members are all experienced players, who come from varying musical backgrounds and projects. Each member has studied and qualified with degrees and masters’ in Classical music as well as embracing pop, rock and experimental genres.

Although the group appears to be comedic in nature, they take performance very seriously. They place a great importance on high energy gigs, entertaining the audience, pushing musical expectations and getting the audience involved. A Led Farmers gig is always a surreal, unique but highly enjoyable experience.

Much of their repertoire is admittedly chosen from the powerhouses of Irish Folk Music; The Dubliners and Planxty. It is within their fresh arrangements and live performances that the Led Farmers excel. They are known for giving the odd pop song a folk twist and they also write their own material. The group has toured outside of Ireland for the last 3 years. This will be their only Irish performance of 2013.
