The Klares is an indie rock band from Dublin. Members are Andy Burke (vocals and rhythm guitar), Jordan Lawless (bass and backing vocals), Eoin O’Shea (lead guitar and backing vocals) and Cormac Sheridan (drums and backing vocals). In April 2016, The Klares released Sparks Alone to critical acclaim with Unsigned and Independent music mag saying “10/10..what a great tune from a band certain to go on to bigger things”, while Dublin Concerts said, “Unfazed by the hype surrounding their precocious emergence on the Irish music scene, the young Dubliners have steadily separated from their influences, pushing toward their own original sound. Sparks Alone marks the latest step in their artistic development, a band growing more refined, without losing any of the youthful exuberance that distinguished their prior releases.” Black Huarache was released on 1st September 2016 and the influence for the song came from a poet they were all studying in school. Top Irish blogger, and Irish Times music writer Nialler9, gave The Klares New Artist of the Week and described ‘Black Huarache’ as “…their apex thus far”. The Klares recently released their brand-new record Gooie to widespread acclaim: Remy Music & Film: “…the tempo is persistent and upbeat, there are also tiny wisps of classic 70’s rock á la The Who, and searing doesn’t even begin to describe the scorching guitar solos that grace us in its final third”. Diamond Deposits: “Razor riffed punk from Dublin quartet The Klares. Their latest tune Gooie is an irresistible slice of spiky melodies and solid vocals that will delight with it’s relentless energy….”. Gig Radar: “The Klares have to be one of the most exciting bands around, who should not only put Irish music back on the map again but also give us all a new favourite band.” Listen With Monger: “This is the time to get involved in The Klares as I strongly suspect Eoin, Jordan, Andy and Cormac will be moving on pretty quickly to bigger and better things”. Echoing STEM: “Age is no barrier to their music, with a sound that certainly seems to have matured for a long time already. We’ve been enjoying the upbeat vibes and the guitar riffs of this Dublin four piece for the past few months and think 2017 will be their year”.
