An unexpected, but nonetheless joyous piece of news is that Ten Speed Racer are to reunite.

Joe Chester, The Barrett Brothers – Pat, John and Dermot – and drummer Terry Cullen will play their first gig in far far too long upstairs in Whelan’s on Friday May 3rd.

The band released two excellent albums in the early 2000’s – Eskimo Beach Boy and 10SR – before going their separate ways.

Joe Chester launched an acclaimed solo career, while Pat Barrett worked with The Hedge Schools.
