At Dublin’s only open mic competitive storytelling night hosted by Broadcaster, Author & Comedian, Colm O’Regan, we’re looking for your short true stories inspired by a different theme each month. At the end of the night, a winner is chosen who goes on to take part at The Dublin Story Grand Slam later this year.
This month as we celebrate our very first Birthday, we’re delighted to be part of the International Literature Festival and are looking for 4-7minute true personal stories inspired by the theme, DUBLIN. For one night only we’re taking over the stage at a music venue that holds a special place in the hearts of music loving Dubliners – Whelans. From life-long locals and visiting tourists to proud blow-ins we want to hear your own 4-7 minute true stories inspired by the City you call home. From nights out on the tear to early morning risers, the perfect day in the City to the grim reality of a Capital, the banter in your local to the revolution on the streets, share your own personal true story of what makes Dublin, Dublin.
