The Cribs mark a welcome return and are pleased to finally announce details of their new album ‘For All My Sisters on 20th March (in Ireland). To Celebrate they make a special appearance in Whelans, Dublin on 18th May.

The band’s sixth studio album, it follows 2013’s career spanning ‘Payola’ collection and 2012’s Top 10 album ‘In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull’ and the first for new label Sonic Blew / Sony Red.

Having reconvened over the last year in Wakefield and Portland, the band later decamped to New York and Magic Shop studio with legendary producer and The Cars frontman Ric Ocasek (Weezer) to begin recording.

A new label, a new perspective, a new challenge – ‘For All My Sisters’ marks the start of the next chapter, in a decade long existence that has seen the band continually evolve and thrill, ever advancing whilst stockpiling an enviable arsenal of songs.

The first single, ‘Burning For No One’, released simultaneously on 23rd March will be available on limited 7”, CD and digitally through all discerning musical outlets.

‘For All My Sisters’ will be available on double 12” vinyl, CD, deluxe CD/DVD – featuring live footage from the band’s two Christmas 2013 shows at Leeds’ old Town & Country Club – and digitally through Sonic Blew / Sony Red.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of The Cure, My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus And Mary Chain, September Girls play reverb-soaked noise of the finest order, with distant layered harmonies, swirling organ and distorted guitars. Their debut album ‘Cursing the Sea’ garnered widespread coverage, with a Guardian New Band of the Day piece, NME Radar and 8/10 review and a 4* review in The Fly as well as coverage in The Sunday Times, The Observer and Uncut. The Financial Times said that they were “like a less malevolent Jesus and Mary Chain – impressive power, conjuring exactly the right balance between noise and sweetness” while Time Magazine no less named them as one of the 11 best new bands in the world. ‘Cursing the Sea’ was also included in Rough Trade shops 100 Best Albums of 2014.

In November 2014, September Girls released a 4 track EP ‘Veneer’. Whilst still retaining their signature drenched feedback sound the tracks have a greater depth and polish than the album recordings.
“Veneer finds the Irish quintet throwing off the 60s girl-group coyness in favour of something fiercer. Embittered and angry definitely suits September Girls” – NME

In the intervening months September Girls have been busy on the road, playing SXSW and CMJ in the US, as well as UK festivals such as Beacons, The Great Escape, Liverpool Psych Fest and Stag & Dagger, not to mention a mobbed show to a packed Berwick Street for Record Store Day.
April 2015 saw the band opening for A Place To Bury Strangers on their UK & Ireland tour.

The band are currently working on their second album.
