The Crayon Set will be releasing their debut single “I Wanted You” on the 22nd September. It will be available as a free download from their website www.thecrayonset.com (for a limited time only). It precedes their debut album which is scheduled for release in late 2012. The official video can be found here:

Dublin-based, The Crayon Set was founded by main songwriter Rob Baker in 2008 has since morphed into an exciting, expansive, eclectic 8-piece music collective. They have a fresh sound which they describe as “indie-folk-pop” – there’s catchy pop melodies, lots of energy, lush, multi-part vocal harmonies and they employ a wide variety of instruments – trumpets, double bass, violins, harmoniums, oboes, flutes, banjos, etc.

The Crayon Set released their debut EP in November 2011, to a capacity crowd at The Button Factory, Dublin. The EP received glowing reviews, including “Pick of the Fortnight” from Hot Press magazine. Their debut album, which is ready for release, was recorded in Leeders Farm Studios in the UK and was mixed at Rockfield Studios.  It was co-produced by Nick Brine (Teenage Fanclub, Oasis, Super Furry Animals).
