SUPER HANZ & LATE FRAGMENTS

The City Apples are a four-piece alternative/modern rock band from Dublin. The band formed early in 2012 and since then they have accumulated great acclaim of both their high octane live performances, and of their recordings. Most notably, in the annual Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition they made the final 100 acts out of the 8000 who applied.

”The City Apples are one of those bands that sound both timeless and exactly of their time, and are all the better for it.” – Swear I’m Not Paul

The band, both collectively and individually has a wealth of experience of playing on big stages in front of large audiences such as The Olympia, Oxegen 2010, HMV Forum London and Vicar Street. They also boast experience of playing alongside high-profile musicians such as Glen Hansard, Cathy Davey, Neil Hannon and Lisa Hannigan to name but a few.

“These guys are sure to get under your skin and rock you from the stem to the core.” – GoldenPlec

The band released its debut, self-titled five-track EP in February on 2013 and since then it has held in good stead to them as it has gotten great acclaim from reviewers and critics alike, and has also been received extremely well outside of Ireland, doing particularly well in Germany after the band played a string of gigs there.

“Throughout the EP it is evident that James, Gerard, Sam and Neil have something special. Don’t be surprised when these lads hit the big time they are definitely ones to watch in 2013.” – Music Review Unsigned
