Norwegian rocker Simeon Kirkegaard is bringing his band and his existentialist music to Whelan’s. Having released his debut album “Shoulders Down” in early 2013, containing songs such as “Sorry”, “C&D” and “Last train back to my place”, Simeon is showing himself as a promising, up and coming songwriter and guitarist.

Simeon’s musical career started as an 8 year old at his local music school and he formed his first band at the age of 14. Having produced acts in his native Norway for many years, he moved to Dublin and joined local band “Goatboy” as lead guitarist.

Though he has played Dublin venues such as Whelan’s, The Academy, The Button Factory, The Odessa Club and Crawdaddy amongst others with Goatboy, this November’s Whelan’s gig marks the first Irish performance of his own material.
