ALARMIST

Within their configuration of electric guitars, percussion, synths and winds, Alarmist channel their combined backgrounds in post-rock, jazz, electronica and contemporary composition into a unique sound world that pits rhythmic intricacy and twisting melodies against hazy ambience and dense arrangements of organic and electronic timbres.
Since the release of their 2011 self-titled debut EP, Alarmist have established themselves as a standout act on Dublin’s independent music scene, gaining a reputation for their dynamic, arresting performances with kaleidoscopic visuals by projection artists Slipdraft.

Irish Producer Somadrone has been making electronic music for 16 years and has toured Europe, US, Asia and Australia as member of Dublin’s cult band Redneck Manifesto and Jape. His 2010 LP, Depth of Field received critical acclaim and was compared to the likes of Ryuichi Sakamoto, David Sylvian and Brian Eno. The First Wave, released in 2013, recorded in San Francisco, Dublin and Brooklyn, the record incorporates analogue drum machines, synthesizers, guitar and vocals that results in a cross pollinating, genre-less, electronic sound-scape.
