RUNAWAYGO

plus guests SHADOWS & DUST YELLOWBRIDGE  THE WINTER PASSING

Runaway GO will tour Ireland in May and June 2013 to support the release of their next single ‘I Would Go’.

Runaway GO is a Belfast based Indie Pop band. Fronted by joint vocalists Dave Jackson and Fiona O’Kane, with Javed Love on drums, Chris Jackson on bass and James Lappin on guitar. Described as “one of the best bands in the country” who play “mesmerising performances” which are often described as “a rare spectacle”, they genuinely are one of the most exciting and original bands to surface in some time.

Their dream ignited when they returned from London after winning Jack Daniel’s ‘JD Set Unsigned’ award. The accomplishment compelled them to put down a gruelling 18 months perfecting their sound and live performance. They discovered their on-stage energy was intoxicating, with audiences new and old compelled to sing back their anthemic choruses. And so, like all the bands that have made history, they decided to capitalise on their strengths.

They write dynamic songs, sing with passion, embrace their audience, creating an atmosphere of something wonderful. Their sound is defined by the two lead vocalists who could not be more different. Their haunting harmonies build with an energy that can only be described as electrifying. Audiences are compelled to sing along with Dave and Fiona, even those experiencing runaway GO for the first time.

Although it is early days for Runaway GO, the band have attracted great interest from several corners of the music industry. The track that’s about to make the most noise is ‘This Is Real’, the follow up to their confident single ‘Jump Start’ which gives a worthy representation of the calibre you can expect from Runaway GO’s debut album.

The New Single ’I Will Go’ will be available for purchase at all of the live shows and on the Runaway GO website from the 22nd May 2013 and through all the usual online outlets from the 27th May 2013.

Rocky O’Reilly recorded and produced the single at Start Together Studio in Belfast while Jonathan Shakhovskoy (U2, Beady Eye, Amy Winehouse and Stereophonics) mixed the track in London. Tony Webster of BIG BAD LLAMA is currently working on the artwork, photography and official video.
