Since the release of Debut ep “Long Live” earlier this year on Whelans Records it has been all go for the young Dublin band, having played at just about every major Irish festival (Electric Picnic, Knockanstockan, Sea Sessions, Indiependence, Westport to name a few) as well as touring with The View and Heathers and their own headline dates

Raglans have also made great inroads in the UK where “The Man From Glasgow” has been getting some major radio airplay having been picked up by BBC Radio 2’s Steve Lamacq.

They were also featured on music industry magazine Music Week’s Sound Of Ireland 2012 .

The band been are now busy writing and demoing and while in the UK caught the eye of some industry heads, plans are underway for them to return to the UK to record at Distiller Studios in Kent in December 2012.

“The Man From Glasgow” was also recently used in a Coors Lite on line advertising campaign.

ECHOTAPE

Echotape are a 5 piece band, formed in 2011 in a small town in the south of England. Since the start of the year, the band has been attracting extensive attention from the underground tastemaker blogs and on-line and physical music press. Tipped by many as a “band to watch”, their music references post punk art rock, such as Echo and The Bunnymen and early New Order, krautrock and modern psychedelia. “Multi-layered industrial textures”. “Epic guitar lines and sweeping vocals”. Produced by the Killing Joke bassist and legendary producer Youth (Orb, the Verve, Futureheads, the View,), the band’s debut EP ” Sky Over Quarley Hill ” was released April 2012. The follow up single “Spinning”/”Awakening” is released during a series of club and festival appearances through the summer. The band’s debut album is due for release in January 2013.
