THE CLOCKWORKS

Having been compared to: The Libertines, The Streets, Arctic Monkeys, The Smiths and The Clash, but with “an instantly noticeable individuality” (Remy’s Music and Film Blog), the Irish band showcase their own take on Indie/Post-Punk Revival through wry, tongue-in-cheek, kitchen-sink tales of life as a young adult.

Led by London born James McGregor, who joined Seán Connelly (Guitar), drummer Damian Greaney and bassist Diarmuid Prendergast in early 2015, The Clockworks have had a successful few months. Playing festivals all across the country, headlining gigs in both Ireland and London, and featuring in Hot Press magazine (“you’ll be hearing a lot more about The Clockworks”).

The Clockworks have a definite mission for their future: to “write decent ‘band songs’ about everyday life” (Connelly), “and to headline Glastonbury with them” (Greaney).

“You’ll be hearing a lot more about The Clockworks” – Hot Press Magazine

A street-level sound, the trio’s latest single draws from the everyday and conveys it with gritty guitars, pin-point drumming and wryly observational lyrics….Instantly relatable” – The Last Mixed Tape

There’s swagger, charm, pleasure and an instantly noticeable individuality about this Galway band” – Remy’s Music & Film Blog

“‘Girls Like You’ has a 90’s/early 2000’s indie/rock feel to it. And with witty, ironic anecdotes reminiscent of The Streets and The Arctic Monkeys…A band with big dreams and a wry look on life has to go far” – Musician.ie

Hop on the bandwagon now, and check them out on some of the smaller shows they’re playing this summer before you have to queue up for their sold out shows” – Echoing Stem

YOUNG EARTH

Young Earth are a brand new Indie-Pop band from Dublin, Ireland formed in late 2015. Drawn to big productions from the years before such as The Beach Boys, The Zombies, Phil Spector and Paul Simon, he developed a love for the gossamer sounds of summer, along the way picking up traits from guitar bands such as Vampire Weekend, Arctic Monkeys, The Stone Roses, Mac DeMarco and The Black Keys.

The band have gone from strength to strength since beginning to perform live in January 2016, headlining two Whelan’s shows, Sin E, Workman’s club and Bello Bar and supporting Irish acts such as Heroes In Hiding in the Button Factory, Men of Twenty, Kicking Bird, RUTH and LA band The Vim Dicta. Along with slots at Whelan’s Summer watch 16 and Le Cheile Festival, Young Earth are just getting started bringing their sound to stages across Ireland.

Their Debut single, Maggie, was released in May with an EP soon to follow in late Summer 2016.Their sound can drift from light, airy summer pop tunes to heavier, overdrive drenched styles, all the while keeping an obsessive focus on solid hooks, harmonies and singalong choruses create a fresh, retro tinged style of guitar pop.
