New-wave 80’s band Ivy Nations mix big choruses with driving beats and hook-laden synths and guitars. Since the release of debut single ‘The Mile Road’ in Sept 2015, they reached #3 on the HypeM Twitter chart, had over 30,000 streams online, played Cork’s Indiependence, Whelans ‘Ones to Watch,’ rounded off by supporting The Academic in a sold out Vicar Street in March. Follow-up single ‘You Are The Centre Of Me’ premiered on BitCandy and has seen significant airplay at home (2FM’s record of the week on the Eoghan McDermott show), in the US, and in Australia.
With a forthcoming EP in the works, Ivy Nations bring their sound to Whelan’s (upstairs) this coming Thursday, April 21st.
