DEAD HORSE JIVE

https://www.facebook.com/events/292608698116478/ Dead Horse Jive, the sharpest rock ‘n’ roll band in Ireland, are embarking on an all-island tour this February in a last-ditch attempt to cross the border as many times as they can before Brexit. The ‘Hard Rock/Soft Border Tour’ will be stopping in the North, South, East and West of the island, with dates planned in Drogheda (Feb 1st), Cork (2nd) Dublin (15th), Belfast (16th), Derry (22nd), Letterkenny (23rd) and Bantry (Mar 2nd), as well as a triumphant homecoming in Galway on March 14th. The irreverent five-piece aren’t saying they are going to single-handedly solve Brexit, but they are pledging to do their part to cause as much confusion as possible in the lead up to the UK’s planned exit from the EU on March 29th. Asked about the band’s position on Brexit, frontman Darragh O’Brien had this to say: ‘Last year we had a great night in Bennigans in Derry, and after we got a bag of cans and brought them back to a house party in Donegal. Now, if they crash out of the EU with no deal we might not be able to bring those cans across the border under WTO rules, so we’re keen to get it done one last time, just in case.’
