AUXILIARY PHOENIX QUARTET
Auxiliary Phoenix is James Strain, an experimental hip hop producer, multi-instrumentalist & DJ based in Carlow, Ireland. Coming from a background of progressive rock, jazz fusion, hip hop and turntablism, these elements are combined through modern experimental hip hop production. Auxiliary Phoenix has produced remixes for underground hip hop legend Divine Styler, Lisa Papineau (AIR), Bosnian Rainbows & Bearcubbin’, amongst others.
The music is performed live by the Auxiliary Phoenix Quartet, which includes James McDermott on keyboards, Jake Quinn on drums & Evan McDermott on guitar, with Auxiliary Phoenix on bass. The Quartet’s take on the music has more focus on the jazz fusion side of it, and incorporates more improvisation.

THE FUCK ENSEMBLE
The Fuck Ensemble’s origins are to this date unknown. They have never permitted any part of their career to be documented nor have they any music recorded available for the public to listen to. This is due to its dangerous and unpredictable nature.
The one surviving listener who accidentally walked in on one of the bands rehearsals is still in a “critical condition” after suffering what doctors decribed as the “worst case of mind-bending we’ve seen in the western hemisphere.”
It is rumored that the bands line up concists of Ben Bix and Micheál Quinn of Meltybrains?, but we can’t be sure. You’ll have to come to the show to find out.
