LATE CITY EDITION

LATE CITY EDITION

plus guest

Formed in Dublin in the spring of 2010, Late City Edition is a band that draws its influences from a wide spectrum of genres; from the great rock ‘n’ roll/folk movements of the 60’s and 70’s on to the indie explosion of the 80’s and 90’s. From the outset their aim was to encompass all of these elements and create a true Rock ‘n’ Roll sound.

The band was originally formed by friends Alan Richardson ( vocals, guitar ) and Stephen Mooney ( guitar, backing vox ) and over the following year after some personnel changes they subsequently secured the services of like-minded musicians Jay Ritchie ( backing vox ,guitar keys ), Chris Hogan ( bass) and Darren Gorey (drums), all of whom had played extensively in various bands on the Dublin scene.

With second single “She Saves My Soul” ready for a March 2014 release, the band are staging a gig in Dublin’s live music institution ,Whelans to promote it. With support slots on Steve Cradock’s (Ocean Colour Scene/Paul Weller) solo tour and various spots in venues around the country already pencilled in, its looks like 2014 is shaping up to be a busy year for the band.
