To celebrate the start of a new year, James Cramer is delighted to announce his first solo show, Upstairs @ Whelans on Thursday March 2nd.
Advance tickets priced €10 including booking fee are now on sale.
Having played the infamous Ruby Sessions twice, during 2016, this show will be a treat, it being James 1st solo headline Dublin show.
2016 was quite the special year for Dubliner James. While very happy in his work as front man with alt folk band, Tupelo, James also full-filled a long held wish of releasing some of his solo material. This in parallel to his work with Tupelo.
My World Again was received excellently here at home when released during the spring, and in October also featured in Canadian TV Show, Hello Goodbye on the CBC Network. The single entered at No 1 on the itunes singer / songwriter chart. You can check out the highly praised video here also.
The current single Broken followed a summer of international concerts with his band Tupelo, together with some solo international performances also. Another Top 5 itunes entry, the track is quiet in its approach, but quickly addictive. Similarly to Spring 2016’s My World Again,BROKEN also conveys an almost reserved side of James, who has primarily written in a different style and genre for his band work. The video was filmed in Cauldron Studios Dublin, and was directed by David Montuy
James is also a songwriter of note having written with many of his industry peers including Hermitage Green, Eleanor McEvoy, Derek Ryan and Luan Parle amongst others.
