_ Main Venue _ Facebook event Foja are one of the most interesting bands on the Italian independent scene. Their sound is a vibrant mix of rock, pop, country and folk music with some catchy and original lyrics. Their first album – Na Storia Nova – was released in 2011 by Full Heads and Materia Principale. Its first single O sciore e ‘o viento is one of the most succesful hit in the band’s history and has now achieved over 2.000.000 views on Youtube. In 2013, A Malìa (from Dimane Torna ‘O Sole studio album) became part of “L’arte della felicita” movie soundtrack. The animated movie – directed by Alessandro Rak – is been awarded with the European Film Academy Award and the song was among the nominees for the Best Original Song at David di Donatello and Nastri d’Argento awards in 2014. The successful synergy between Foja’s sound and movies kept developing over the years until reaching a new milestone in 2018: “A chi appartieni” single from the album ‘O treno che va (released in 2016) was chosen as soundtrack of the award-winning movie “Gatta Cenerentola” (Cinderella the Cat) and obtained excellent reviews during the Venice International Film Festival. The movie is Academy Awards 2018 nominee and Foja’s song is again among the nominees of David di Donatello award. In 2018 the band will tour Europe with TIJ Events and with MiBACT and SIAE’s support. Foja are: Dario Sansone (voice and guitar), Ennio Frongillo (electric guitar), Giuliano Falcone (electric bass) Giovanni Schiattarella (drums).
