Della is a singer/songwriter from Co.Meath with many comparisons to world class female artists. She has been described as a ‘’sultryfied Randy Crawford” but perhaps the description that accurately captures her deeply expressive tone and passionate delivery is ‘’Joni Mitchell meets Nina Simone”, Ryan Tubridy.
Della is inspired by several genres of music which is evident in her work. She is as much at home singing Blues as she is singing Jazz, Contemporary Pop, Funk and other genres of music . Her live performances are engaging and always presented with a sensitive captivating emotion.
Writer /Producer team Dave Molloy and Paul Mc Donnell(Cellar Club Studios-CCS) heard Della’s demo and jumped at the chance of working with her.‘I have not heard such a gifted natural singer in Ireland” Dave Molloy- currently producing her Debut album.
This collaboration has also lead to Della and CCS being commissioned to write a track for US TV show ‘Defying Gravity’ .
‘Against the Universe’ her new single that will feature on her debut album due for release in April 2011 has recently been remixed by ‘Chymera’, the globe trekking Irish DJ who is currently based in Berlin. The track has already been included in the new film “ Strawberries and Cream” by award winning director Brian Baker.
