Chief Keegan are an instrumental funk band from Dublin. Comprised of Keyboards, Guitar, Bass and Drums, this instrumental four piece are greatly influenced by bands like Vulfpeck, The Meters, Lettuce and The New Mastersounds. Bluesy and with a deep groove, it is music filled with salmony goodness. Since their formation a year ago Chief Keegan have been working hard gigging around Dublin. Gigs of note have been playing at The Dublin Quays Festival, Bray Jazz Festival and The Cork Jazz Festival. Chief Keegan will be releasing their debut EP “Full Salmon” on November 18th on all platforms. They will be celebrating this release with a gig on Dec 20th in Upstairs Whelans. Expect lots of special guests and tasty grooves.
